As if the sewing techniques are applied to Topiary, the fascinating practice with which gardeners cut and sculpt the plants giving them whimsical shapes, Ailanto and Trucco have allied to conceive a summer collection inspired by the private garden Broughton Grange, a leafy secret in the heart of Oxfordshire.

Blurring their outlines with new strokes and soft brushstrokes, the Muñoz brothers have created two exclusive prints that evoke the flowers and ferns that float in the pond, and the multicoloured fish that glow under their waters. Two 'prints' that are pure Ailanto, and that give light and life to a line of garments and accessories that are both pure Trucco, with colours as deep, volumes as rich and textures as linked as the botanical species that cover the fabrics.

In truly special gardens, the harmonious and ornamental coexist with the wildest and most lush vegetation. Such an evocative image for Ailanto and Trucco that they have turned it into a metaphor for the patterned Eden they have imagined together, and for the nymph woman who inhabits it; as contradictory, delicate and magnetic as a humid summer day in the English countryside.
