Una fascinante visita al jardín de La Bambouseraie de Prafrance es el motivo inspirador de esta nueva colección que trae al imaginario de Ailanto resplandecientes toques de Asia y de su estilizado mundo vegetal, a través de las sugestiones orientalistas que las redes comerciales del siglo XVII al XIX y especialmente la expansión imperialista de Francia hacia Indochina, en el segundo tercio del siglo XIX, produjeron en artistas y botánicos europeos, y en el gusto occidental por la decoración y el paisaje.

La seducción por las visiones crepusculares y románticamente interiorizadas del maravilloso jardín exótico implantado en las afueras de Anduze, con ejemplares traídos desde Japón y los bosques himalayos en el año 1856 por Eugène Mazel, empresario importador de especias desde Oriente y gran apasionado por la botánica, cobra presencia en las prendas de esta colección, entre las trasparencias de las sedas fruncidas o plisadas y los brillantes y envolventes terciopelos de seda.

A fascinating visit to the garden of La Bambouseraie de Prafrance is the inspiration for this new collection, which brings to Ailanto's imagination resplendent touches of Asia and its stylised plant world, through the orientalist suggestions that the commercial networks of the 17th to 19th century and especially France's imperialist expansion towards Indochina in the second third of the 19th century produced in European artists and botanists, and in the Western taste for decoration and landscape.

The seduction for the twilight and romantically interiorised visions of the marvellous exotic garden established on the outskirts of Anduze, with specimens brought from Japan and the Himalayan forests in 1856 by Eugène Mazel, a businessman who imported spices from the Orient and a great lover of botany, is present in the garments of this collection, among the transparencies of the gathered or pleated silks and the shiny and enveloping silk velvets.
