AILANTO & THYSSEN-BORNEMISZA
To the Thyssen from the Botanical Garden. A stroll among the flowers.
With flowers as the common thread, a series of guided tours have been organized that begin in the Royal Botanical Garden, where visitors can enjoy them live, and continue in the museum rooms, to discover the same and other varieties of flowers painted in the works of the collection.
Inspired by Carpaccio's Young Knight in a Landscape (c. 1505), one of the paintings on the tour, the designers Ailanto have created a new range of items for the store, available to coincide with the start of this activity.
Ailanto creates an original print made with the collage technique by superimposing different cutouts of shiny papers on floral compositions of bulbous plants, inspired by the different botanical species represented and full of a symbolic background that Carpaccio represented by enveloping the portrait of the Young Knight in a landscape.
