AILANTO & DAC RUGS
The collection of rugs designed by Ailanto for DAC is a tribute to the work of women at the Bauhaus School. In particular the work of Gunta Sröltz, artist and director of the textile workshop and Anni Albers, creator who innovated with new materials for weaving and the use of colours.
Thanks to the artists who were part of it, modern art took shape, the avant-garde gained notoriety and textile designs were developed not seen until that date.
Ailanto rugs are developed with the Manual Hand Tufted technique. They are handmade and hand-dyed, so the different shades in the same colour are characteristic, along with the textures provided by the wool.
